Belmar Apartments offer a cozy, intimate retreat set in one of the Caribbean’s most pristine SCUBA diving locations. Featuring twenty-two oceanfront condos, set in breathtakingly lush tropical gardens, Belmar Apartments offer all you need to enjoy all of your favorite activities within the comforts of home.
For your comfort and convenience, Belmar Apartments features either one, two or three air conditioned bedrooms, one to two bathrooms, large living areas with cable TV, telephone, fully equipped kitchens with refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave, private room safe and large covered terraces or balconies on the second floor.
Resort style amenities are offered including a mineral pool, SCUBA diving dock, and on-site dive shop. Dive services can be arranged with Buddy Dive Watersports on-site satellite shop. Divers looking for a more personal experience can arrange private courses or guided shore dives. Making your stay as relaxing and stress free as possible, front office staff are available to organize anything you need from dinner reservations to grocery delivery.
Buddy Dive Watersports
With as many as 60 officially listed dive sites on Bonaire and another 20 dive sites on Klein Bonaire, Buddy Dive at Belmar is here for you to make the most out of your dive vacation. Their fleet of custom dive boats and a well-stocked ‘Drive Thru’ offering air and nitrox tanks, ensure satisfaction for every diver is achieved.
Experience friendly dive staff on morning and afternoon boat dives. Every day of the year Buddy Dive’s custom dive boats go out to explore the many dive sites on the nearby island of Klein Bonaire, a short 10-minute boat ride away, or to other spectacular dive sites not accessible from shore. Even Klein Bonaire is visited at night on a regular boat night dive.
Divers of all levels and experience can take advantage of the freedom of unlimited shore diving, making as many dives a day as they want, according to their safety profiles. Plenty of 80 and 63 cubic foot air and Nitrox tanks are available at either the Drive-Thru or on the dock. Rinse tanks are located at the Drive-Thru as well as on the docks. This simply makes diving at Buddy’s easy and enjoyable.
In addition to their boat and shore diving operations, Buddy Dive instructors are available for classes ranging from basic open water courses to professional development. Rounding out this full-service dive center, Buddy Dive has a complete inventory of rental gear, along with a retail shop outfitted with a wide range of gear, accessories, t-shirts, and other souvenirs.
Rooms
The Suite Deluxe 1-bedroom apartments are large and airy and are situated on the upper floor of the building. Each apartment has a spacious bedroom and ensuite bathroom with shower and a large living area and kitchen. Each has its own private porch that looks out over the pool and has fabulous ocean views.
The Classic Superior is situated on the ground floor. Open your patio door and step directly onto the pool deck and within a few steps, you can enter the ocean. Each apartment has a master bedroom with a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has twin beds and its own ensuite bathroom with a shower. In most of these rooms, the second bedroom can also be set up as a king bed.
Grand Deluxe – 2 bedroom
These apartments are located at the 2 corners of the building on the ground floor and offer a bit more space for extra luxury. The apartments have 2 bedrooms with air conditioning and both with ensuite bathrooms, both bedrooms can be set up with twin or king beds. The living area and kitchen are spacious and offer everything needed to relax. The porch offers great ocean and sunset views and the swimming pool and ocean are just a few steps away. Sit back and enjoy the south or the north side of our apartment complex.
Grand Deluxe – 3 bedroom
These 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartments are all situated on the upper floor of the building. The main floor has a master bedroom with a king bed with an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The large living area and kitchen provide ample space for 6 people. The private balcony is a perfect setting to enjoy breakfast or just marvel at the beautiful Caribbean Sea. A staircase in the living room leads to the second floor of the apartment where the other 2 bedrooms including the second bathroom, which is shared, are located. Both of these bedrooms can be set up as either 2 twin beds in each or 1 king depending on your preference.
The VIP Deluxe is a one of a kind apartment. It is the corner unit on the upper floor at the south end of the building. It has a master bedroom with a King bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. The main floor has a large living area and kitchen. Open the sliding door to the large porch which boasts one of the best sunset views on the island. The other 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are situated on the upper floor. One bathroom is ensuite whilst the other is next to the bedroom. Both of the upper bedrooms can be made as either 2 twin beds or 1 king depending on the needs of your group.
The top floor of the Belmar building is dedicated to the 2 penthouses. These amazing spaces provide you with outdoor living with one of the best views of the whole island. The living, dining and kitchen area are completely open plan and outdoors so you really feel at one with nature in the penthouse. The 3 bedrooms are air conditioned and the 2 bathrooms are conveniently situated. If you come with a large group the 2 penthouses can be joined together simply by opening the connecting door and then you have the whole top floor of the building to enjoy.
Location
Bonaire, an island municipality of the Netherlands, lies 30 miles from Curacao, 50 miles north of Venezuela, 86 miles east of Aruba, in the southern Caribbean. Bonaire is 24 miles long and 3-5 mile wide.
Belmar Apartments are located about a 10 minute, 3.5 miles drive south from the capital city of Kralendijk, along the west coast of Bonaire. Guests with car rental may enjoy easy access to the restaurants, bars, and shops of Bonaire’s charming capital.
Due to its positioning, this idyllic island is outside of the hurricane belt and consequently enjoys beautiful weather throughout the year. With average air temperatures of 82°F, and water temperatures averaging 80°F, there is little rainfall and easterly trade winds provide mild breezes to keep conditions ideal for vacationing year-round.
Bonaire also offers excellent scuba diving, snorkeling, and windsurfing, and has been designated as having the most pristine coral reef environment and most species of fish in the Caribbean by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration.
